Reproduction Services
With the relocation of Cotter O'Hara Equine Reproduction Services to the Santa Ynez Valley in 2010 following the severe budgets cuts at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, COHERS added yet another demension to its service offering.  Consulting on a local breeding farm that stood 4 stallions and 30 mares with declared "fertility" issues that resulted in only 1 viable pregnancy for the 6 months prior, COHERS has facilitated the laboratory as well as practical viability of the stallions, achieved 4 additonal pregnancies during the last half of 2010, and continued to problem solve the remaining mare issues with documentable success.
